As the founder and principal, Leticia Macias, I lead the practice as a multidisciplinary systems integrator. My execution is backed by professional credentials in Project Management (PMP®), LEED® Green Associate™, AI Project Management (CPMAI™), ESG Impact & Sustainable Investment, and Permaculture Design.
I am a hybrid and a global citizen.
Born in California as a U.S. citizen, my technical, environmental, and regulatory education was shaped across academic and professional environments in the United States, Mexico, and Iceland. This international experience ensures that my practice is not confined to a single geographic, bureaucratic, or cultural perspective. It is this cross-cultural lens that allows me to distinguish administrative frameworks from guiding values—recognizing tools such as LEED®, ESG, CARE, and FAIR as useful structures for implementation and reporting, while integrating high-performance building science with the Indigenous heritage that informs my worldview, including ancestral roots in the Otomí, Zapotec, Rarámuri, and Wixárika peoples of Mexico.
Ancestral Roots, Lived Wisdom
My approach to sustainability and regeneration isn’t just academic and technical—it is lived. I carry 51% Indigenous American Heritage, with ancestral roots in:
- The Otomi and Zapotec of East Central Mexico.
- The Raramuri (Tarahumara) of the Northern Mexican plateau.
- The Wixarika (Huichol), whose sacred ecological traditions continue to inform my understanding of land stewardship.
These traditions embody diverse cosmologies and regenerative practices grounded in relational accountability, ceremony, and ecological guardianship. This heritage informs how I listen, how I assess land, and how I guide teams toward decisions that respect ecological thresholds and intergenerational impact.
The late philosopher Gloria Anzaldúa redefined the Mestiza consciousness as a psychological state of being able to hold dualities, heal fragmentation, and bridge conflicting worldviews. Raised within Western institutional structures yet intimately shaped by the lived realities of colorism and ancestral survival, I operate from this precise equilibrium. I do not subscribe to mere resilience; I believe in active evolution and transformation. By balancing the rigorous, data-driven frameworks of Western industry with an unshakeable commitment to relational accountability and ecological guardianship, I serve as a deliberate bridge—translating hyper-modern technology and infrastructure through the protective, evolving lens of indigenous sovereignty.
This dual-perspective anchors my practice in “Two-Eyed Seeing” (Etuaptmumk), a guiding principle that views the world simultaneously through the strengths of Indigenous knowledge and Western science. I explore this methodology on my podcast, Beyond Compliance Toward Regeneration, where we discuss how this dual lens allows us to move past baseline institutional compliance.
